There is a new capsule collection by Narciso Rodriguez for Zara that is sure to satisfy anyone who is nostalgic for the days when athleisure was not so prevalent in New York City that the streets were not filled with sweaty jogger bras and Lycra bike shorts. As a designer at the Spanish leather specialist Loewe circa 2000, he developed a relationship with Zara during his tenure as creative director. Rodriguez selected 25 iconic pieces from his archive to be reproduced at Zara's invitation based on an analysis of his archive. There is no doubt that what Rodriguez conjures up, in the end, is a testament to his exacting yet sensual vision, as well as an antidote to the nylon-Lycra blends that dominate contemporary wardrobes in terms of comfort and an example of the pleasure to be had in looking pulled together.
He has restored archival pieces from the spring/summer 1997 Cerruti show by Rodriguez, which took place just days after the designer became a household name when he designed the wedding dress that Carolyn Bessette wore in 1996 when she married John F. Kennedy Jr. The embroidered slip dress from the spring/summer 1997 show by Rodriguez was just one example of the pieces he has revived for the capsule. A spring/summer 2018 gown made from draped red silk crepe also bears more than a passing resemblance to the charcoal gray Rodriguez-made sheath Kate Moss wore so memorably at Cannes in 1998 - again, there's that consistency of vision again - to the sheath that Kate Moss wore to the Cannes Film Festival almost twenty years ago. It is important to note that the high-waisted trousers and harness knit polo-neck were inspired by collections from the mid-2010s.

Narciso Rodriguez Wool Blend Skirt
This maxi skirt features a high-waisted design made from a wool blend fabric. There is a slit at the back of the hem of the skirt. A hidden in-seam zip closure is located on the left side of the skirt. Approximately 75% wool is used, 19% viscose is used, and 6% polyamide is used. There is a 100% viscose lining inside the jacket.
Narciso Rodriguez Wool Bustier
There is a wool blend fabric used in the making of the bustier. There is no straps on this top and it has a straight neckline. There is an elastic detail on the back of the garment. There is a hidden in-seam side zipper and a metal hook closure on the inside of the skirt. This item is made of 53% polyester, 43% wool, and 4% elastane. The lining is made from 100% viscose material.
Narciso Rodriguez Camisole Dress
Dress made of viscose with an oyster white color and long camisole top. A v-neckline and thin straps are featured on this dress. Shaped in an A-line style. The hem is asymmetrical. It is made of 68% acetate and 32% silk (mulberry). It is lined with 100% viscose.
Narciso Rodriguez Wool Coat
An open-front wool coat with a long length. An extended sleeve. A hidden in-seam pocket is located on the left side of this coat. There are vents at the hem of the coat. The material is 100% wool.
Narciso Rodriguez Wool Jacket
Woolen jacket with a fitted style. A lapel collar and long sleeves are featured. A tonal button closure is located on the front. The material is 100% wool.
Narciso Rodriguez Oversized Jumpsuit
This jumpsuit has a full cut and is made out of viscose. There is a sleeveless design with a round neckline. The fabrics are all in the same tone. Ankle-length pants with wide legs. A hidden in-seam zip closure is located at the back of the jumpsuit. 100% viscose is used for the lining.
Narciso Rodriguez Bustier Dress
Designed in a mid-bustier style, this dress is made from a wool blend fabric. There are no straps on this dress and it has a straight neckline with an interior elastane band. There are pleats at the sides of the dress. There is a slit in the hem. The zip closure is hidden in the seam on the left side. It is made from 53% polyester, 43% wool, and 4% elastane. 100% viscose is used for the lining
Narciso Rodriguez Satin Effect Tied Top
With its sleeveless design and round neckline, this top has a satin effect. There is an asymmetrical hem and a self-tie on the side. A concealed in-seam zip and metal hook closure are located at the back of the top. 77% of the material is acetate, while 23% of the material is viscose.
Narciso Rodriguez Embroidered Dress
There is a V-neck midi dress with wide straps on the front. The embroidery is in contrast with the floral pattern. The hemline is asymmetrical. An interior lining is made of a tonal fabric. There is a hidden zip closure in the inseam of the dress. Lining and material are 100% viscose.

The shirt features a fitted collar and short sleeves as well as a lapel collar. There is a metal hook closure on the front. This shirt is made from the following materials, 9 % silk (mulberry), 56% lyocell, 17% nylon, 17% cotton, and 1% elastane. The lining is composed of 80% viscose and 20% nylon.
Narciso Rodriguez Satin Effect Pants
This high-rise satin effect pant is made from a viscose blend fabric that has a satin effect. There is a straight leg to the pants. A hidden in-seam zip closure is located on the left side of the garment. It is made of 77% acetate and 23% viscose.
Narciso Rodriguez Slip Dress
There is a v-neckline on this maxi slip dress and spaghetti straps on the shoulders. The fabrics are all tone-on-tone. An asymmetrical hem with flounces. It is made of 68 percent acetate and 32 percent silk (mulberry). The second material is 70% acetate, and 30% silk (mulberry).

This pair of high-waisted pants is made of a viscose blend fabric. There is a straight leg to the bottom. There is a hidden in-seam zip closure on the side of the pants. Acetate is 50% of the material, viscose is 47%, and elastane is 3% of the material.

The sweater has a mock neck and long sleeves. In terms of material, it is made up of 73% viscose, 14% polyester, and 13% nylon.

A bodysuit made from a blend of viscose and polyester. A V-neckline with long sleeves is featured on this bodysuit. The closure at the bottom is made by a snap button. It is composed of 65% viscose, 27% nylon, 6% polyester, and 2% elastane.
