New York Fashion Week is right around the corner, and this year's lineup features some well-known names who are just making their New York debut. It is always awaited that the September shows will be held, and after several virtual and hybrid seasons, the New York calendar is looking more filled than it has in a while, with designers eager to showcase their best work and the city seeking to re-establish its status as a global fashion center. As The lineup is always complemented by up-and-coming brands, such as Bobblehaus and Tara Babylon. Aside from them, there are several global players making their debuts at New York Fashion Week for the first time, such as Fendi, Marni, and Cos. Find out more about the new Spring 2023 designers below.
TARA BABYLON
During a presentation on Sept. 8, she showcased her hand-made techniques. London-based British-Iraqi designer and performance artist Tara Babylon. Holds scholarships and prestigious awards from CSM and Parsons MFA. With a strong emphasis on color, craft, textiles, and performance art, the label is an RTW gender-fluid brand. This brand emphasizes hand-made techniques to keep the artisanal element alive. Techniques used within the label include weave, print, tufting, and crochet. It's energetic and fun with sophisticated silhouettes. Among eco-conscious stylized RTW and accessories, Tara Babylon celebrates key showpieces.
MIRROR PALAIS
On September 13, Mirror Palais will hold its first runway show. Mirror Palais was founded in 2019 by Marcelo Gaia as a sustainable womenswear pre-order brand. As a stylist for almost a decade, Gaia decided to create his own brand to celebrate the women he admires. A kaleidoscopic flurry of 80s-inspired neon prints contrasts with softer ditsy floral prints in Gaia's swimwear. Vintage silhouettes are updated for modern women's styling needs in his collection. The garments are designed and made in New York to bring fair wages and craftsmanship to the forefront. The garment district ecosystem is supported when you buy Mirror Palais. MIDNIGHT STUDIOS
The Midnight Studios collection from Shane Gonzales will be showcased at New York Fashion Week on September 14. It was founded in 2014 by the LA creative who already had a name for himself in music and art direction before starting a menswear label. Gonzales, at the age of 19, has fused punk and youth street style into a style that is designed to be anti-aesthetically appealing.
MIA VESPER
On September 11, the brand will present Fall 2022. The Mia Vesper label is an independent label based in New York that creates textiles that combine new, vintage, and handmade techniques. In her visual album "Black Is King," Beyoncé commissioned a custom gown from the brand, along with 60 additional looks for her dancers, so you're probably familiar with the brand. Some celebrities she has worked with include Billie Eilish, Paris Hilton, Machine Gunn Kelly, Pete Davidson, and Young Thug.
MARNI
Founded in 1994 by Consuelo Castiglioni in Milan, Italy, Marni Group S.r.l. is an Italian luxury fashion house. The brand Marni was acquired by the Italian fashion group OTB in 2015, and Francesco Risso was appointed Creative Director of the company in 2016. Marni joins the new york fashion week with a runway show on Sept. 10, as part of the Milan-based brand's plan to kick off a so-called world tour in order to reach its global communities more intimately.

Despite not being a new sight on the runway, Latoia Fitzgerald's Lionne debuts at New York Fashion Week for the very first time. On Sept. 8, Karraueche Tran, Cassie, and Camila Coelho are going to be attending a runway show at the brand, which has been worn by the stars.
FENDI
Adele and Edoardo Fendi founded the company in 1925 in a small boutique in the heart of Rome. The Maison's image is projected into the international fashion scene with the opening of a specialized bag and fur workshop, a series of successful collections, and special collaborations. Fendi, a mainstay on the Milan ready-to-wear circuit, is a newcomer only in the sense that it has not presented a collection at New York Fashion Week. It was announced by the brand through an Instagram post featuring Linda Evangelista. The show will took place on Sept. 9.

BOBBLEHAUS
A regenerative New York-designed fashion brand, Bobblehaus was founded by Ophelia Chen and Abi Lierheimer. It produces hip, unisex clothing from leftover fabrics. As part of its debut participation in New York Fashion Week in the spring of 2023, the company introduced a ready-to-wear collection that was inspired by "new life, the notion of blooming, as well as street style in both Shanghai and New York," according to a press release.
BAD BINCH TONG TONG
Black Boy Knits was founded in 2020 by Jacques Agbobly with the intention of elevating the voices of Black, queer and immigrant voices through a global lens, drawing parallels between past and present, while bringing artisanal traditions to the forefront of fashion. In honor of being selected as a finalist for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, the brand will open a showroom during New York Fashion Week on September 12. To establish an authentic connection with his audience, Terrence Zhou combines artistic vision and unconventional presentation. Taking editorial photographs in his messy living room, he began the brand in his New York bedroom, pushing the boundaries of conventional thinking. Due to the unfiltered presentation, the event has gained global recognition through social media.
ANDREW KWON
On September 12, he will present his ready-to-wear collection at New York Fashion Week. The Korean-American designer Andrew Kwon was born in 1995 and established his eponymous label in 2020 in New York City. An intriguing and fanciful thesis collection gained Kwon's attention, earning him a place as a finalist in the Supima Design Competition. Neiman Marcus displayed one of his pieces in the front window at the opening of the Shops at Hudson Yards. By highlighting the strength and beauty of nature, Kwon's design aesthetic empowers women. The collections are inspired by Kwon's surroundings and incorporate a feminine element to enhance this concept.
AJE
In September, AJE was a part of Australia Fashion Week. Founded in 2008 by best friends Adrian Norris and Edwina Forest, Aje is a contemporary Australian fashion brand. New York Fashion Week has included it for the first time, with a presentation on September, 8. The 7 For All Mankind brand is an American denim brand founded by Michael Glasser, Peter Koral, and Jerome Dahan in 2000. The company is headquartered in Vernon, California. As denim designers with decades of apparel industry experience, Dahan and Glasser founded the company to fill a void in the contemporary denim market. It has been stated that the company is successful because of the fit, fabrics, washes, attention to detail, and the logo on the back pockets of its products. 7 For All Mankind is popular with celebrities, including Prince Harry, because of its proximity to Los Angeles.
